The South Korean electronic giant of a corporation, Samsung Electronics, revealed that in 2022 it will release three different TVs that will support and enable NFT trading.
Samsung announced the groundbreaking news on Monday by posting the company’s statement on their official website.
Moreover, the statement further states that the application will enable the user a state-of-the-art platform, with a bunch of options for the non-fungible tokens.
This includes everything from searching the NFTs, up to buying, selling and trading.
Additionally, Samsung revealed that the three different TVs that will support NFT trading will differ mostly in screen quality.
That is because Samsung will offer this feature in the MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame TV models.
The NFT platform of Samsung will ‘engage’ non-fungible tokens from different marketplaces, which is very convenient.
This way the users can easily find all of the details concerning the NFT, including the creator of the token itself. Furthermore, the users that own NFTs can also use the platform, and upload their tokens as well.
And in order to ensure the best service, Samsung revealed that their ‘Smart Calibration’ technology automatically adjusts the settings of the TV, so that it can render the creator’s image in the most truthful manner.
The ‘NFT Aggregation Platform’ as Samsung calls it will definitely revolutionize the smart TV game. Especially because this is the first-ever instance where NFTs, or any blockchain trading asset for that matter, is integrated into a TV software.
Consequently, a move like this will definitely force the biggest rivals of Samsung in the TV department, Sony and LG, to up their game, and consequently launch their own blockchain-supported smart TVs.
Regardless, 2022 is going to be an awesome year for blockchain, and Samsung is giving us just a small taste of what is coming.
