One of the biggest crypto exchanges on the planet, Crypto.com, will be the official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022. FIFA announced on Thursday after the world house of football posted the official statement on their website.
According to the announcement, the partnership will see Crypto.com become ‘the exclusive cryptocurrency trading platform’ of the World Cup in Qatar. Moreover, as part of the deal, Crypto.com will receive exclusive brand exposure that will include both on-court, and off-court advertising.
Considering that Crypto.com is probably the number one crypto exchange for sports endorsements such as the NBA, NHL, soccer and MMA among others, FIFA believes that this is the right ‘person for the job’. And this is without considering the fact that Crypto.com has more than 10 million customers worldwide and more than 4.000 employees across three continents.
As per the words of Kay Madati, the Chief Commercial Officer at FIFA, there is no better partner to ‘grow our beautiful game on a global scale’, than Crypto.com.
Furthermore, one of the first things that Crypto.com will do after the sponsorship with FIFA is the launch of a full-scale campaign to attract customers for the World Cup.
In order to raise awareness, the crypto exchange will create ‘opportunities for both new and existing users to attend the tournament, as well as offer exclusive merchandise of the World Cup in Qatar.
Kris Marszalek, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Crypto.com, states that this is an opportunity of a lifetime for the company. Given the prestige of the World Cup, as well as the fact that it is the biggest sporting event in the world, it is just what Crypto.com needs in order to maintain this groundbreaking way of doing things.
