According to the official portal of AMC, the partnership between the multimedia giant and Sony will produce NFTs for everyone that will be part of the premiere of Marvel‘s upcoming movie, Spider-man: No Way Home.

The premiere of the movie is on the 16th of December, with tickets already going on sale since yesterday.

Moreover, the NFTs are limited-edition, with only 86.000 tokens available for purchase. The NFTs will be placed on the Wax blockchain, a protocol that uses an ‘eco-friendly’ way of work.

In fact, according to Wax’s explanation, promoting the tokens is a completely carbon neutral process.

Users/visitors can claim the NFTs via AMC’s platform, i.e. their perks program subscribers. More specifically users from Investor Connect, Premiere and AMC Stubs A-List.

In addition, users that will download the official app can then scan a code in order to retrieve the tokens.

The NFTs partnership between AMC and Sony is the biggest challenge for the token platform to date. As such, the CEO of AMC, Adam Aron, understands that this is an excellent opportunity to strengthen their presence.

AMC Theaters guests and our AMC Entertainment shareholders have been calling for AMC to get into the world of NFTs. And we couldn’t imagine a more perfect way to start doing so than with our good friends at Sony Pictures.Adam Aron | CEO of AMC

Considering its energy efficiency and the fact that it is a blockchain platform solely for NFTs, Wax is one of the go-to companies for promoting NFTs.

The reason for this is that Wax is supposedly processing more than 15 million transactions daily. And with substantially lower energy consumption.

This, in addition to the utmost commitment towards dealing exclusively with crypto, make Wax a target for anyone that wants to enter the NFTs game.
